Michael Puttré has been an engineering and technology writer
and editor since 1987, when he started out opening mail and ordering lunch at Information WEEK magazine in Manhasset, NY.
Of late, he was editor-in-chief of JED, the Journal of Electronic Defense and the website eDefense Online, both published
by Horizon House of Norwood, Massachusetts. After a six-year stint, these two vehicles were shot out from under him when Horizon
House decided to divest itself of its defense publishing products. When he's not referring to himself in the third person,
Michael teaches 7th Grade Humanities at McAuliffe Regional Charter Public School in Framingham, MA.
